June 25th - Day 13
Today was on one of our most relaxed days of the trip and a much-needed blessing! I am incredibly thankful for my Grandfather and his wife hosting us on their beautiful property full of outdoor space for the kids to play and countless indoor activities and toys.
Some highlights included (from Becca’s eyes):
Both younger kids enjoyed long afternoon naps!
Troy salvaged yesterdays water episode by finding a nearby campground to dump our unexpectedly full “gray water tank”-meaning one of our kids left the sink faucet on yesterday as we drove, emptying our water tank and filling the gray water tank. And now, we have water again and can flush our toilet!
The weather was beautiful and I enjoyed two walks around the peaceful farm and the historic homestead, finding mulberries along the way.
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the backyard picnic tables.
My parents joined us this evening for one night overlapping here at my grandfathers, and the big kids chased and caught fireflies with my mom before heading to bed.
