August 6th - Day 55
With much of the family being positive for COVID, we are very limited in what we can do. However, it was still a good day!
A few highlights/memorable moments from the day:
Besides being with Becca’s aunt and uncle for the weekend, Becca’s cousin and her husband came over for the day (willing to risk getting COVID to spend time with us). They live less than an hour away and last time we saw them was in October when they got married. It was good to see them and catch up.
The kids enjoyed playing games, observing their cousins’ puppy’ antics, watching movies, and just having a quiet day. I on the other hand, felt fatigued and was in a general COVID fog all day. A couple naps were needed
With Obadiah’s 4th birthday coming up on 8/14 and since we’ll alone in the RV then, we took the opportunity today to celebrate his birthday with family. We had gifts, pizza, a piñata (watermelon shaped and chosen by him), and chocolate cake. For a COVID birthday party in the middle of a long road trip, Obadiah enjoyed it! Thanks to Becca’s Aunt Laura for all of her help in making him feel special. We appreciate it!
